​Due to farm run-off, a degraded water-sewer system, EPA brownfields and superfund sites, and lead pipelines, Pembroke Township's water quality is threatened. ​This includes nearly 1200 homes in PHP.  During the spring of 2021, the Community Development Corporation of Pembroke Hopkins Park was able to provide free water quality testing for residents.
